"Each painting in the current series contains the clarity and organization of my thoughts and emotions that I have acquired through years of travel, meditative experimentation, prayer, and self-reflection. As I engaged with more corners of our world – and all of its different cultures, peoples, and customs –, I increasingly learned more about the complexities that encompass the human experience. But with the exposure to more life that comes naturally with age, I also gained a sense of serenity and simplicity in how I see the world. The essence of the human experience is that we are all the same. The distillation of my contemplations of the human experience is paralleled in the simplified execution of saturated hues, rich textures, and minimal compositions."
